Member Profile ~ Scot Bergeron
Fall 2008

scot bergeron

Scot Bergeron is one of the co-founders of the GLCC. He and his wife, Rebecca (also a co-founder and on the GLCC Steering
Committee) moved to the Gorge in 1989. Scot learned to appreciate the outdoor life growing up in New Hampshire with mountains and lakes all around. He says he’s grateful for the choices his parents made in his childhood years. Graduating college with a BS in Occupational Safety and a minor in drug and alcohol abuse counseling, Scot realized that a regular nine-to-five job would not satisfy him.

After graduating from college, Scot traveled the world, supporting himself by teaching skiing, scuba diving and playing music. Some highlights he recounts include climbing the Matterhorn in Switzerland, kayaking the Grand Canyon three times, diving in the Caribbean and teaching skiers at some of the best resorts in the Rockies. Wherever he goes, Scot entertains audiences with his music. He also received his flight instructor certification in 1989, just before moving to the Gorge. He had his own flight school in The Dalles and Hood River.

A young man from the Czech Republic opened Scot’s eyes to the international banking scheme and the truth behind the Federal Reserve. This new knowledge was life changing and Scot became passionate about creating the social and economic change needed to combat it. This has become one of the most challenging things Scot has ever done. He says climbing the Matterhorn was easier than getting people to understand how the Federal Reserve is slowly enslaving us all. Some resources Scot highly recommends to learn more about this scheme are the book, And the Truth Shall Set You Free, by David Icke, and the video, The Money Masters: How International Bankers Took Over America.

Scot offers live music for RiverHOURS. He performs solo, as a duet with Rebecca or as a trio (Savant Garde) with the beautiful voice and harmonies of Kristin Reese. He and Rebecca are in the process of building a house, but once completed he intends to offer more of his talents in exchange for local currency. The RiverHOURS he earns are spent on acupuncture, counseling, massage, Mike’s Ice Cream and Acre Coffee. He implores people to, “Enjoy what the world has to offer, but take equal time to preserve it for generations to come by doing community service, paying attention to your government, and for God’s sake, shut down the Federal Reserve and return to our Constitutional form of monetary policy.”
